EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
On this page are the various projects I created for my Educational Technology course. The course was designed to explore the role that technology plays in education, both generally and specifically related to my particular content areas: Math and English
Professional Library
This is a library of Internet resources that I use in my professional practice. |
AnthroTech Assessment
This was the result of a survey I conducted at my host school, Palmer High. The goal was to answer questions about the attitudes toward technology use in the school. I completed the assessment with "technology culture" in mind, and learned a few things about the presence and attitude toward technology use at Palmer High. Check out my assessment... |
Digital Story
For my Internet Integration class, I created a digital story. It is a summary of Fahrenheit 451, a novel I taught in my sophomore English class. This project had many phases: a story map, a story table, the finished product, a reflection of my experiences, and a rubric that could be used to evaluate student's digital stories.. Watch the digital story for a succinct summary of the story featuring original art, look at the map and table for an insight to this project's development, read about my experience of it, or check out my rubric. |
Online Community Involvement
During my student teaching internship, I became involved with Alaska Teacher Placement Forums. As a prospective Alaskan teacher, this resource was, and continues to be very valuable to me. Read my reflection of it here. |
Individualized Learning Project
This project was to design, implement and evaluate the results of an Individualized Learning Plan in which I used a new area of technology in my teaching. For my ILP, I used the mobile/web platform Poll Everywhere. Read about my experience with it here. |
